Trainee Teacher of Business

The College is looking for Trainee Teacher applicants with a relevant degree who is looking to start their career in Teaching.

Salary:

Approximately 拢25,750 per annum, depending on teaching time allocated

Contract Status:

Part to full time, fixed term 2 year contract

Full Description:

Required from 27th August 2024.

We are looking for an applicant with a relevant degree who is committed to starting a career in teaching.  You must be enthusiastic and passionate about your subject as well as working with young people aged 16-19. 

Trainees will be given a fixed term contract over the training period, which is two years, and will divide their time between teaching and learning support duties.  Applications from candidates who wish to be a part time trainee teacher (minimum of 4 days, 0.8 FTE) will also be considered.

The PGCE training course fees will be paid by the College.  We can offer a welcoming and supportive environment in which to do your teacher training.  Our recent Ofsted inspection noted:

‘Leaders support staff very well. They take the well-being and workload of their staff into account when determining new processes and policies.  Staff benefit from extensive investment in professional development opportunities, which helps them develop both their subject and classroom skills.  Staff are highly positive about working at the College.’

The actual salary will depend on the proportion of time allocated to teaching but we envisage that, for a full-time role, it will be £25,750 approx.
